What's in Your Ecosystem?

Summary: Understand what lives and resides right outside your door. Explore what makes up an ecosystem and ponder how we humans connect to the systems around us.


Learning Goals:

  • Students will able to explain what an ecosystem is

  • Students will explore what lives around them and how living things connect to non-living things

  • Students will wonder about their place in the ecosystem and how they are connected to the living things right outside their door


Materials Needed:

  • Paper + clipboard/journal

  • pencil/pen

  • Paper (bigger the better, butcher paper recommended)

  • Markers/crayons/colored pencils (optional)
